Dictionary Definition : Dictionary Definition: Paul-One of the few male LC creatures known to exist, this specimen is one of the eldest in the LC universe. This specimen is known to work long hours but still makes time to commingle with fellow LC denizens. This being has a peculiar sense of humor and has been observed to shun smilies, although this aversion has been lessening as of late.

This is the final volume of the "Millenium" trilogy. Despite rumors of a fourth manuscript, partially finished, that is supposedly in the possession of his girlfriend (Larsson passed away in 2004), this book brings closure in a way that will satisfy readers.

It starts right on the heels of the ending of the second book, "The Girl Who Played With Fire". The main female character, Lisbeth Salander, is for much of the story confined to a hospital bed, which, unfortunately, slows the pace of the book, and the series, down considerably. The main male character, Mikael Blomkvist, is his usual frenetic self, chasing down lead after lead to prove Salander's innocence in a triple murder while uncovering a much bigger story about governmental corruption.

If you have read the first two books you will find nothing new or groundbreaking here, meaning if you enjoyed the first two books you will enjoy this one, and if you did not like the first two books you will not like this one. The character of Lisbeth Salander, unquestionably the favorite of the readers of these books, is much more subdued in "Hornets Nest". The slicing edge she had in the first two books is largely missing here, which is a minus. But, if you read the first two and want to finish the series, by all means pick this one up.
